How many times have you been on a site that advertises Free Wi-Fi, then found you have to be in a certain area to actually get it? Well, now you can pick up and amplify any Wi-Fi signal to over a mile away, legally. I had this problem everywhere we went while abroad then I saw someone in his caravan using his computer on the internet. He was using an amplifier to draw signals in and amplify them so he did have to go to the bar to use it. While I was away I ordered one and it was delivered today, from China of course in 5 days. I loaded the software, plugged it into the USB port of the laptop and rested it on the shed roof outside. Awesome, it picked up Wi-Fi from all over the estate. I had over 20 to pick from, though obviously they were all pass-worded. It proved beyond doubt that it does work and would be ideal of weak signalled sites. At £21.72 including Free postage that is a snip of a bargain in my opinion. I bought the stronger 2000mw version with 5m of cable. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MELON-2000mW-USB-150Mbps-Wireless-WiFi-Adapter-36dBi-Outdoor-Antenna-5M-Cable-/151033654773?pt=US_USB_Wi_Fi_Adapters_Dongles&hash=item232a4eadf5

Used this for the first time at AGM Rally at Helsby. To say it was awesome would be an understatement. It picked up every single internet connection for almost a mile in any direction I pointed it. The object of using it was to use a boni-fide free wi-fi in the vicinity, which I did. I picked up Tesco's, which was about 1/4 mile away at 4 bars out of 5, which is quick enough to watch streaming video. When you consider it is located inside Tesco's for Cafe use and cannot be picked up in the Car park I think that warrants 'awesome'. Several members now have one on the way to their home addresses as they ordered them there and then.
